Sunday Morning's Message
It is my pleasure to welcome Travis Ward and Jeff Johnson into the deacon ministry here at Buffalo Baptist Church. They were ordained on June 1st and are ready to serve.
Please keep these men in your prayers as they begin this ministry. Satan will attempt to deceive and destroy these men; they need God's protection.
2014 VBS - Agency D3
This year's VBS was a success. Our numbers were not what we were looking for, however, the one on one interaction proved to be more valuable. Each kid left with the basics of who Jesus is. They learned that Jesus was more than just a good man. That He was God's Son. They also learned about His death and resurrection. And as they ended the week the were challenged to go and share what they had learned.
We thank God for His blessings and what this week of VBS meant to us as a body of believers. We also pray that God would get a hold of these kids and change their lives forever.
Lighthouse Restaurant in Sulfur Wells
On September 11, 2014, we took a bus load of people to the Lighthouse Restaurant in Sulfur Wells, Kentucky. There we shared in a wonderful time of getting to know each other in a better way. There is nothing like sitting around the dinner table and talking.
The table was abuzz with wonderful conversation but when the food arrived, it got a little quieter as we passed around the fried chicken, catfish, and country ham.
What a blessing it was to be a part of this wonderful night.
Congratulations Chris Northenor
Last Sunday we were able to baptize yet again. Chris Northenor committed his life to following Christ and becoming a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. We shout praise to Almighty God for moving in the lives of our people here at Buffalo Baptist Church.
This year our teens went to the University of the Cumberlands to work in missions. Our teens woke up to a morning quiet time followed by breakfast. After breakfast the youth went to their track teams and had Bible study together. After that they were released to go to send off which consisted of both fun and worship. From there they went to their ministry sites from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. each day. As they returned to campus they had a little free time. Each evening, the teens would then meet back up for a time of worship and a sermon by the camp minister. To end the evening, they staff would have some kind of fun games planned for the kids. All in all, each day was packed full.
We had three teens commit their lives to Christ as Lord and Savior. We also had one recommit his life saying it had been a long time since he had walked closely with God.
